Motivation seems to be one of those tricky words that fall into the same category as willpower. I've debated and questioned if it is a limited resource just like willpower and the more we rely on it the more we expend it. Or is it like a muscle that the more you use it the more you can build it to stronger and longer proportions.
We all know what motivation is - the drive that causes us to act by creating movement, growth, and change.
It's also what we can lack - feeling frustrated or stuck in our current situation. The messy middle and in between of knowing where you want to go but not being in reach of it. We know the goal, the habit we want but now the bigger question is how can we get the motivation to get it done.
Because those goals don't just fulfill themselves.
Today on the podcast I interview Jenni Hulbert who is a holistic fitness expert and top rank wellness advocate with doTerra. I'll be asking her what motivation is, if it's something good to rely on and how we can use motivation to reach bigger goals in the new year.
Make sure and listen to the podcast and stay tuned as I share three unexpected ways to get more motivated.

Do you get jitters going into the new year? So many big hopes and dreams and wishes and yet fear that they'll all come crashing down around you? Or is this just my worst nightmare?
Today on the podcast I talk with Laurie Gerber - an expert in designing a life you love. Laurie is a renowned life coach with Handel Group where she has been coaching for over 15 years.
On the show, I'll be asking Laurie, the difference between goals and resolutions and how you decide which to set, why it's so hard to stick to something if positive reinforcement is the key and more. It's got a lot of information so grab a pen and be prepared to take some notes.
After the podcast, I started pondering some of my own thoughts around the concept of designing a year. Stay tuned in this post to find out my plan headed into a new year.

This is the question spoken around the world, well at least spoken internally. Why, why, why? I hate to admit it, and I never wanted to get here but "why" has become a common question in my life.
Sometimes it's just out of selfish desire to take away the hard, the pain and the struggle that comes with this life. Even struggle that provides so much growth - it doesn't make it easy. But I've been finding myself questioning most recently, why can't I change and why can't I help other people change?
Which is a bold and dangerous statement to speak life into - as any lie is. As I dug into this, desiring to rip it out of my life from the roots, I knew I needed help. That's why I turned to Dr. Kelly Forys Donahue - Licensed psychologist, nutritional therapist, advanced life coach and author over at Everyday Therapist.
She has done incredible work and continues to do. On today's podcast, we dive specifically into behavior change, and I point blank as her why we struggle so much to change for good. We also dig into our subconscious and conscious thoughts, practical ways to set goals and see change and more. It's such a good show!
WARNING: Before you listen I do want to warn you/apologize for the poor sound quality. With that being said, even though there is some unnecessary static, I do feel the show was too good not to share, so take a listen, and I know you'll be inspired.
